After years of saying we'll have one and never actually doing it, Laura and I are planning an awards show get together for Sunday. The Emmys.
Now my roommate Maggie isn't huge on television, but the moment I told her, her eyes lit up. And I'm pretty sure a bunch of other people are interested in going.
So Sunday night, my place, champagne & formalwear. Be there. Well, IM me, e-mail me, or call me first. If I don't like you, I'll tell you it's cancelled.

This weekend was much fun, as expected. According to my horoscope, it would determine whether or not I have what it takes to be a leader, and thanks Metro! I certainly now do.
I managed a tiny get-together. I give most of my credit to Brini Maxwell.
Saturday, Laura, Kate, and Katie came to spend the night. We spent most of the pre-Midnight Movie time just lounging around listening to Death Cab for Cutie and drinking Cosmopolitans out of red plastic cups. My friend Lindsey is an excellent bartender.
Also, Sarah & Travis stopped by for a cameo appearance, I miss them.
Travis cut my hair, he should reconsider his career path, because he seemed like a natural. He chatted it up with me, asking me about school and such. If I ever open a hair salon ala-Blow Out, Travis will be the first person I inquire about a head haircutter position.
Then, once 10:45ish hit, the 7 of us that were going to the movie up and went. It was actually a lot of fun. Donnie Darko is much better drunk and with the extra 14 minutes of things I still don't understand.
In other news, Saturday and Sunday was spent doing some more decorating. Our apartment is really beginning to look nice. We checkered a wall in the living room with old record album covers, and I tiled a wall in my room with the records themselves. I also assembled a bookcase, proving to my roommate Morgan that it is indeed I, not her, who is the man of the house.
I think I'll be attending The Faint in October at The Roxy. I don't really listen to them much, unless I'm engaging in some kind of... activity one would engage in while listening to The Faint, but if anyone wants to make a "Danse Party" of it, please contact me.

Fridays are nice. I only have 2 classes on fridays, one at 10 AM and one at Noon.
This leaves me with 1 hr 10 min to do whatever I please in between these classes.
My choices were as follows:
-be healthy and get something to eat so I don't pass out
-be responsible and buy my books so I don't have to stay longer than I need to
-be shamus and mooch the free internet.
I looked behind door number 3.
Boston is wonderful, people are wonderful. I love it here. I've yet to see Sarah Potter, which is a shame, but her cell phone is corkulated, so it's difficult to reach her.
I believe Laura, Katie, and Kate are staying over Saturday night. They should be aware that they will be eating Fondue (possibly Dark Chocolate, i.e. vegan-friendly, after the cheese) and drinking Wine and then going to Coolidge to see Donnie Darko at Midnight.
I'm incredibly boring, all I do is read and wash dishes.
I need a new book, since I lack cable&internet at my apartment still, and I'm like to delay reading the things I actually have to for class for as long as possible.
Tomorrow (or maybe tonight) I return to the faux-hawk.
I miss cheese fries, the end.
